Brandon Scott

Brandon Scott is Managing Director (Reservoir Engineering) and a founding member of Redfield Energy Partners. 

He has over 20 years of petroleum engineering experience in upstream oil and gas and A&D advisory. 

Brandon began his career at Marathon Oil as a completion and drilling engineer in the Williston Basin. After holding several different engineering roles at Marathon, in 2011 he began working for Peregrine Petroleum as lead operations and reservoir engineer. Brandon’s engineering and commercial expertise was essential in helping Peregrine acquire key assets in the Anadarko, Williston and Permian Basins.  His experience includes unconventional and conventional reservoir analysis, business development, reservoir engineering and risk assessment, and unconventional resource development. Most recently in 2018, Brandon joined UBS Investment Bank’s A&D Advisory Group as Director and was later promoted to Technical Team Lead.  During his time at UBS, he successfully closed sell-side and buy-side transactions across a variety of basins and many different types of assets from operating assets in California to mineral/royalty assets in the Haynesville. 

Brandon holds an MBA in Finance from Tulane University and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University. He is registered with Series 79 and 63 licenses.
