Doug Perley

Doug Perley is a Senior Advisor (Commercial) at Redfield Energy Partners. He brings over 30 years of economics and A&D experience in the oil and gas industry. Doug began his career in 1982 at Amoco, where he held various financial analyst positions, focusing on treasury and the economic evaluation of international projects. From 1990 to 2000, he was a senior member of BP Amoco’s A&D Group, successfully closing $6 billion in deals, including the notable Altura sale to Occidental. After his tenure at BP Amoco, Doug co-founded and managed the A&D practices at Wells Fargo Energy Advisors, Tristone Capital, and BMO Capital Markets from 2000 to 2015, playing a key role in closing over $23 billion in transactions. Throughout his career, he directed all non-technical analyses, including financials, commercial assumptions, land, and product marketing. Following his departure from BMO in 2015, Doug served as the acting Chief Financial Officer for Decode Digital Marketing, LLC, a digital advertising firm that has since grown to nearly 50 employees. In April 2023, Decode merged with Unlock Health. Doug holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business and a BA in Economics from Princeton University.
