Malcolm Coleman is a Senior Advisor (Technical) at Redfield Energy Partners.
He has over 40 years of oil and gas engineering and M&A experience.
Malcolm was with BP and its predecessor, Amoco, for over 40 years. In the early years of his career, Malcolm worked in a variety of engineering and commercial roles including drilling, primary, secondary, and tertiary production operations and prospect screening and economic evaluation. He then spent over two decades as an integral member of BP’s Global Mergers and Acquisitions team. As a Project Manager, Malcolm worked on an array of projects ranging from oil and gas, mid-stream and Canadian heavy oil to biofuels and other renewable energy ventures. These assignments include the plethora of disposal activity of over $60 billion after the Macondo incident as well as BP’s $10.5 billion acquisition of the US unconventional portfolio of BHP in 2017.
Malcolm holds an MBA from the University of Houston and a BS in Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a licensed professional engineer and real estate broker in the state of Texas and holds a US patent for unloading low pressure gas wells.
