Miles C. Redfield

Miles is founder, Principal and Managing Partner of Redfield Energy Partners. 

His career in oil and gas spans over 33 years with over three decades focused in A&D advisory.

Throughout his career, he has assisted clients in successfully closing 160 mandates for a combined $29 billion. 

Miles began his career in engineering and drilling positions at Kaiser-Francis and Chevron, respectively. After obtaining his MBA, in 1990 he joined Amoco as a Senior Economist and then quickly found his niche in the A&D Group closing over $1 billion in US and international deals. While at Amoco, he led negotiations in many strategic deals in the upstream and mid-stream sectors including acquisitions, divestitures, trades, joint ventures and structured VPPs.  During the period of 2000 to 2015, Miles was co-founding partner and manager of the A&D practices at Wells Fargo's Energy A&D Advisory Group, Tristone Capital and BMO's Energy Advisory Group closing over $23 billion in transactions.  In 2015, he founded and managed UBS Investment Bank's Global A&D Advisory Group where he closed over $5 billion in deals most notably a public merger of equals and several DrillCo transactions.  Most recently in 2021, Miles founded Redfield Advisors where he advised clients in brokered upstream transactions providing transaction advice. 

Miles holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
